DECORATIVE PAINTING

THE PROJECT METHODOLOGY

All the projects are designed in close dialogue with the clients and the prescribers, according to a well-established methodology, in order to facilitate exchanges and their management progress over time.

STEP 1. The first step in the creation process is to discuss with sponsors and then arrange a site visit, to make a sensitive inventory (lights, atmospheres, etc.), take precise measurements and examine the support. At this stage, the sponsor is invited to present his preferences in terms of subjects, colors and style. After dicussion, I propose general composition principles and decorative motifs tracks, with some graphic references.

STEP 2. During the second stage, and after the return of the sponsors, a quote is drawn up for the planned design, and the planning of the construction site is discussed. At this stage, the selected track is specified in the form of models and small scale samples, which will be developed until validation of the final project.

STEP 3. The final model is validated with the sponsors and the organization of the site can begin, which includes in particular the order of materials . Before the intervention, recommendations are given for the preparation of the support if necessary. The product must be in good condition (without defects or cracks) and covered with a printing layer.

STEP 4. The stage of setting up, which varies in length depending on the size and complexity of the project, is the final stage of the project. It includes the protection of the premises, the installation of the equipment (scaffolding if necessary), the postponement of the pattern and the painting.

The process of restoration / renovation / restitution of a painted decor follows the same steps as in the case of a creation, except that sometimes steps are added including:
- the survey of old decorations (with stratigraphies and material analyses if necessary),
- historical and iconographic research,
- tests on the materials envisaged and the compatibility of the support,
- and a phase of paint removal and media preparation.

NB : If the specificity, scale or time of the project require it, it is possible to mobilize a team of experienced painters in decor, and other professional specialized s s at the different stages of its realization.

THE CLIENTS COMMENTS

The delicate and meticulous work of restoring the faux-marbles IN OUR Haussmann building was carried out with skill and talent. Priscilla Jorge has given light and prestige to a 150-year-old wall decor, very degraded, far beyond the quality we hoped for. A great achievement, an artist’s work.

Priscillia has succeeded with delicacy to interpret my daring envy. Based on a work by Georgia O'Keeffe, she was able to adapt colors and shapes. Watching her work reveals surprises and intensity every day. Priscillia is infinitely professional, respectful and creative. The trust was immediate and the result is beyond my expectations.

Printemps

We are very satisfied with the painted decor made by Priscillia in our living room ; it is the admiration of our guests who discover it for the first time. We appreciated Priscillia's professionalism, expert advice and listening capacity ; she is a true artist with a wide range of skills. We were also sensitive to the fact that she uses natural paints. A beautiful meeting!

Priscillia worked with our architectural studio to renovate the reading rooms of Sainte-Geneviève library in Paris. Her work on the decorative paintings in the researchers' room, which reinterprets the forgotten landscape of Mont Sainte-Geneviève, its geographical views, its monuments and birds is superb. It is also a very fine approach as a wink to the designer of this incredible heritage place.
